| Pastel Slider Turtle Trachemys Scripta Elegans Turtles for Sale Adoption / Export / Education Pastel Sliders are considered a color morph or hybrid of the much more common Red Ear Slider. Pastel Sliders exhibit a certain degree of hypo-melanism, which is a reduction in the presence of black that is visibly present in their carapace and skin coloration. They also exhibit to a certain degree of hypo-xanthism, which is a reduction in the presence of the color yellow. Pastel Sliders are considered desirable for the aforementioned traits, in addition to the deviations present in the standard patterns and standard color ranges.

The Mexican Musk Turtle is commonly found in many regions of Central America. Their maximum size achieved at full maturity is generally 7”-8”. They commonly exhibits an oval shaped, three keeled carapace. Generally their carapace carries a color scheme ranging from a brownish hue, with a shade of yellow seeming the scutes together. It is not uncommon for the Mexican Musk Turtle to display an array of dark spots on their carapace, as well. They posses the same cross shaped plastron that is common to all Musk Turtles. The color scheme present on their plastron is that of a yellow backdrop often times seemed together by a dull shade of black. Their skin coloration varies from one extremity to the other with their head and neck commonly ranging from an olive to yellowish hue and their legs and tail being a brownish shade of grey.
